Dice Games for Money
Coin Die Game
An old favorite among street hustlers, the coin die game uses a two-sided coin and one die. The player flips the coin and then rolls the dice. If the coin lands on head the player win and receives two times the amount shown on the dice. If the coin lands on tails the operator of the game receives four units of a designated amount of money plus the amount of units equal to the number shown on the die. The odds favor the operator of this game by 3.448 percent.
Qualify
In this game a player puts up a set amount of money and this amount of money is then matched by the operator of the game. The player takes five dice in his hands and throws all five dice. The highest die out of the five is then put aside and the remaining four are then thrown again by the player. The highest die is once again put aside and removed from the throw. The player then throws the remaining three dice and once again selects the highest die and puts it to the side. This process is repeated until the player has rolled the dice five times and put aside all five dice. This allows the player and operator to add up the total score of the five dice that have been rolled. If this number totals 25 or more then the player takes all back his stake as well as the stake that the operator of the game risked. If the total score rolled by the player is 24 or less then the operator takes back his stake as well as the stake risked by the player.
High Dice
Once again, the operator of the game has the advantage over the player. The game typically uses two dice but can be played with any number of dice desired. The Operator’s edge in the game decreases as the number of dice used increases. In this game, the dice are thrown by the operator and the total of the dice rolled becomes the operator’s score. The player then rolls the dice and receives a score based on the total shown on the dice. If the score of the operator is greater than the player’s or equal to the player’s score then the operator wins. Players are required to roll a higher score than the operator to win. |
