Dice Gambling Games

Ten

This game is sometimes called Spot, Dicey, or Roll-Ten or Birdie. The Italians refer to it as Talus and the French name associated with the game is Passe-Dix. The game is played using three dice and any number of players. Each player takes a turn at being the bank and all other players are required to make wagers of any amount desired by the individual player. The player who sits directly to the left of the player acting as the bank then rolls the three dice. If the total of the dice is less than 10 then the players lose their wagers which go the bank. However, if the total rolled is more than ten, the player acting as the bank must pay out to all the players involved. The amount paid out by the player acting as the bank is determined by the amount wagered by each individual player. The odds of this game are not in favor of the bank.

Jackpot

This game requires that a layout be drawn on a table or other surface. The layout should consist of spaces that correspond to the numbers three to 11. The players of the game then roll two dice in turn. After each roll, the player who rolled the dice places a chip onto the space that corresponds with the number rolled. The dice are then passed to the next player in line. Once a number has accumulated three chips lying on its space, the next player to roll that number wins the three chips lying in that space. If the dice rolled both have a value of one, otherwise known as snake eyes, then the player who rolled the one is required to place a chip on all of the spaces in the layout. If a player rolls six, they have hit the jackpot. The player then collects all the chips on the layout. The players continue to play until a specified time limit is reached or until all players agree to end the game. The ultimate winning roll of six, six is what gives the game its name of jackpot.
